  • Will you come out to our space and give us ideas? Absolutely, this is a part of design process.
  • Do you come out and measure the space? Yes, we do!
  • Will you come at non-standard hours? Yes, but only by appointment.
  • Is there a charge to measure out a space?  Typically no - Our design fees vary by project and will be based on the overall project scope.
  • Do you offer a trial period for new furniture? We offer trial demos on some of our seating - inquire if this might be a fit for you. 
  • Shipping: Where is my furniture and how long will it take to arrive? Shipping varies by manufacturer and may depend on the time of year. Standard shipping can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 16 weeks, depending on manufacturer. For a project, we suggest a business start planning 3-4 months out and should order all products at least 8 weeks out. Ask us about our Quick Ship Programs!
  • Do you offer a Warranty? We honor each manufacturer’s warranty which range from years to Lifetime. In addition, we hold to a 1 year warranty internally, on labor for warranty work.
  • Do you offer used products? Occasionally we carry used products, however our inventory is limited and subject to availability. We are not in the market to buy used products.
  • Do you donate products? Yes – we donate to various non-profits in Lincoln including the Center For People in Need, Cornhusker Place, Houses of Hope, Matt Talbot, Keep Nebraska Beautiful, and others.

Office furniture can be one of the toughest purchases you can make for your business. Working with OID will prepare you for choosing office furniture that is the best fit for your environment and budget. Here are some tips to consider when planning your furniture needs:

  • We provide functional options that fit your space and style. We know each space is unique along with your needs and do our best to fit your needs.
  • We assist in establishing your floor plan. It is important to have the dimensions of your space and initial thoughts on how you want to furnish it. We will work with you to provide the best options that fit your budget and needs.
  • We’ll consider the needs of your employees. How much shelf space or drawer room do they require? We work on the details of what they need to do their jobs effectively and how to keep your employees happy.
  • We help to strategize your color scheme. While functionality is extremely important, aesthetics play an important role as well. A comfortable and pleasing work environment makes for a much more productive work environment. We can help find the perfect balance for productivity and positivity with color.
  • We look at how frequently the items are going to be used. If you’re buying a desk that will be used at least eight hours a day, we will help you choose something of high quality and comfort. If the use will be primarily decorative, a less ergonomically friendly piece might work out just fine.
  • We will assist you staying within budget. Our staff is aware of delivery prices and miscellaneous costs. A better price on a product does not always mean it’s the best deal. Get the full details of delivery and installation costs before you complete your purchase.
